Biography

I studied Philosophy at University College London, where I graduated top of my class. I then joined an investment manager and hedge fund with £billions in assets under management. Later, I began training as a barrister and won an advocacy competition in which I presented a case to a High Court judge.

I dropped out of law to pursue professional poker. I created software to produce approximate Nash-Equilibrium strategies to simplified versions of No-Limit Hold’em. This led me to realise the power of software development. I find it profoundly creative.

In my spare time I enjoy playing chess. My biggest scalp in blitz is a Grandmaster formerly in the world’s top-10.

Most recently, I was Head of Data at Yoyo, a fintech startup in London, where I led the data science and data engineering teams.
